AAO1 and AAO2 are company-level annual forms for packaging. They look similar but serve different operators. A company is assigned one of them, not both.

AAO1 β€” packaging

Who and why. Producers, importers, or exporters of packaging report how much packaging was manufactured, imported, and exported, and how the remaining packaging waste was managed (self-management and/or transfer to licensed operators). The data supports packaging-waste fees and national packaging statistics.

When. The company is active with an AAO1 obligation. One form per company and year.

What to fill in

  1. General β€” company, year, legal-entity type, statement of responsibility.
  2. Packaging quantity β€” rows by packaging type for non-returnable and returnable packaging (manufactured, imported, exported). At least one row with a total greater than zero is required to save.
  3. Packaging waste management β€” shown when quantity remains after transfers: recycling (R) and disposal (D), plus operator transfers.
  4. Note.

Specifics. Manufactured + imported βˆ’ exported cannot be negative. Self-managed quantity cannot exceed what remains after transfers to operators. A company without a permit and without operators can still save; the remaining packaging is then subject to the fee rules. Types fully transferred to operators do not appear in the management section.

AAO2 β€” packaging waste

Who and why. Packaging-waste operators report packaging waste they handled: quantities collected (municipal and non-municipal) and how that waste was managed. AAO2 completes the picture next to producers on AAO1.

When. The company is active with an AAO2 obligation. Saving requires a permit for the operator in the NRIZ codebook. If the permit is missing, contact NRIZ support. One form per company and year.

What to fill in

  1. General β€” company, year, permit number and issue date (filled from the codebook), statement of responsibility.
  2. Packaging amount β€” quantities by packaging type.
  3. Management of packaging waste β€” recycling, disposal, and related operations.
  4. Note.

Empty quantity or management tables can be saved when there was nothing to report for that year.

Specifics

AAO1 and AAO2 must not be assigned to the same company. If both appear, or the wrong one appears, contact NRIZ support. Header fields (company, year) cannot be changed after save β€” delete and recreate the draft if they are wrong.
